Juried Art Competition and Show

Now this is a fun art show! Artists have submitted original works that depict how New Englanders can be glamorous even during mud season. Some entries emphasize the fun and playful style of theater and some simply show the beauty of the New Hampshire environment during that season.

The Glamour in Mud Season Art Show and Sale will run for two weekends, from Friday, April 13 through Sunday, April 22. All artwork is for sale. A jury of area artists will select the prize-winning piece, and visitors are encouraged to vote for the "People's Choice."

The Art Show opens with a Gala Reception Friday evening, April 13, 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. Take part in the wine tasting from the Gilmanton Winery and sample savory delights from the Downtown Grille Cafe and the Wolfeboro Inn as you peruse the fabulous and fun pieces entered in the art show. You can even take a little glamour home with you as all artwork will be for sale.

And, of course, if you are attending the Gala, you will want to see the evening performance of " Hay Fever" at 8:00. Tickets are on sale, both online http://www.village-players.com/ticket.html and at Black's Paper Store in Wolfeboro.

You can also visit the art exhibit at intermission during the performances of Hay Fever, and The Traveling Wolfeburys.
